FORT LEE, Va. – Commissaries overseas and in certain remote stateside locations will be open during the government shutdown, the Defense Commissary Agency announced today.

Advanced Fresh Concepts (AFC) is recalling its frozen Tuna Fillet Saku because the product may be contaminated with listeria according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Jan. 19. This product is an ingredient used in the sushi department.

Nodine’s Smokehouse Inc. is recalling its Smoked Salmon packages because the product may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Dec. 24.

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. is recalling several first aid items because the product contains an undeclared allergen, according to a letter from Johnson & Johnson sent Dec. 20.
