Veterans Welcome!
- Effective January 1, 2020; The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Veterans Health Identification Card, (VHIC) will be the authorized identification for the latest group to receive commissary privileges. There will be two groups that will be identified by a memorandum provided by the Veterans Administration.
- To obtain a VHIC, current VA policy requires veterans to be enrolled in VA health care. To check VA health enrollment eligibility and to enroll: visit a local VA medical facility: call 1-877-222-VETS (8387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Eastern time; or apply online here.
- Caregivers eligible solely under this act will receive a letter from the VA that indicates they are the primary family caregiver for a veteran enrolled in the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.
Guest Rules
Guests may enter the commissary only when accompanied by an authorized patron. To protect the commissary benefit, I.D. cards will be verified upon checkout and only the authorized patron may render payment.
100% I.D. Card verification is in effect for all patrons.
Maskwear is now optional for all guests.
