Fisher House is sponsoring Scholarships for 2024-2025 School Year at your Commissary!
The Scholarships for Military Children program will open on December 14, 2023 and close February 14, 2024. Five hundred (500) scholarship grants, each for $2,000, will be awarded for the academic school year 2024-2025; one or two at each commissary.
Only students with a valid Uniformed Services Identification (USID) card may apply for a scholarship. An applicant's parent(s) must be one of the following: active duty, reserve/guard, deceased, or retired from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Space Force.
Applications will be submitted online only between December 14, 2023 and February 14,2024 through the website www.militaryscholar.org

The previous commissaries.com site has been changed to corp.commissaries.com. Users of commissaries.com will be redirected to shop.commissaries.com. Any user with bookmarks, including “www” or just commissaries.com, will not be able to directly reach that content unless they use corp.commissaries.com. Shop.commissaries.com is now the sole site for customers, so users with that bookmark will be able to access it without issue.

NEW EXPANDED PATRONAGE!!
In accordance with Title 10 USC §1066, eligibility of Protective Services Civilian Employees; an individual employed as a protective services civilian employee at a military installation may be permitted to purchase food and hygiene items at a commissary store located on that military installation. DeCA’s intent is to follow the requirements established in §1066 and allow the following shopping privileges.
Protective services civilian employees who are in a position of the following series of the General Schedule. Only the individual employee has shopping privileges, not dependents and/or family members.

Security Guard (GS-0085)
Emergency Management (GS-0089)
There is currently no user fee. When a related user fee is determined all stakeholders will be informed.

Expanded Patronage
Starting Jan. 1, 2020 all service-connected disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide. Guest Rules
ID card scanning is in effect at all commissaries worldwide 100% ID check conducted at the central checkouts. Visitors may accompany authorized patrons into the commissary; however, the installation commander has the authority to restrict visitors from entering installation facilities. Only authorized patrons are allowed to make purchases. When you present your ID card at the register, the cashier must conduct visual verification to confirm that you are the cardholder by looking at the photograph on your card. In addition, DoD Instruction 1330.17 grants installation commanders the discretion to institute 100% ID checks at commissary entrances for security purposes. Because these are separate requirements, your card must be shown and scanned at the register, even if it was also shown at the entrance; we regret any inconvenience this may cause you.
