Unilever U.S. Voluntarily Recalls Select Knorr Sopa Soup Mix Products Due to Potential Undeclared Egg Allergen
Unilever United States Inc. voluntarily recalling select Knorr Sopa Soup Mix products because the products may contain egg, which is not listed as an ingredient on the label, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Aug. 10.
People with an egg allergy or sensitivity run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergy reaction if they consume these products.
The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, chief, public health division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.

The recalled products were distributed nationwide. No other Unilever or Knorr products are affected by this recall. To date, the company has not received any reports of consumer complaints or allergic reactions associated with this product. Anyone concerned about an allergic reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product should not consume it and should visit www.KnorrSopaRecall.com. To receive a refund, consumers should take a picture of the back of the product that clearly shows the UPC and best if used by date.
