Tyson breaded chicken Fun Nuggets recalled
Simmons Prepared Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 26,550 pounds of TGI Fridays boneless chicken bites product because it may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically clear, hard plastic pieces, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Dec. 15.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters and support center at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product with establishment number “P-20287” inside the USDA mark of inspection is affected by this recall:
- TGI Fridays Boneless Chicken Bites, Honey BBQ Chicken, 15 ounces: Lot code KL3K03 and “best by” date of Dec. 26, 2024 located on the side of the carton
There have been no reports of injury related to this recall.
Customers should check their refrigerator and freezer for the product and return it to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
