Thermacare Heatwraps recalled
Pfizer Consumer Healthcare is voluntarily recalling specific Thermacare Back Pain Therapy Heatwraps due to the potential risk of a heat cell having a higher cell temperature than specified, posing potential risk of skin injuries such as burns, blisters or skin irritation, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent April 27.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Thermacare Back Pain Therapy Heatwrap, up to 16HR pain relief: UPC 305731713367, 305731713732, 305733010037, 305731715163, 305731714036,
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
