Suja Kombucha recalled
The Coca-Cola Company is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of Suja Organic Kombucha products that may be contaminated with foreign matter, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent May 23.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are impacted by this recall:
- Suja Kombucha, Ginger Lemon, 15.2 ounce glass bottle: UPC: 008-18617-02023-2 with date code 06/25/19 UX
- Suja Kombucha, Peach Ginger, 15.2 ounce glass bottle: UPC: 008-18617-02034-8 with date code 07/27/19 UX
- Suja Kombucha, Mixed Berries, 15.2 ounce glass bottle: UPC: 008-18617-02036-2 with date code 07/29/19 UX
No other beverages, package types or date codes are affected by this recall. To date there have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury.
Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
