Progresso Organic Chicken Noodle Soup recalled
Faribault Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling Progresso Organic Chicken Noodle Soup due to milk and soy allergens, as well as beef and pork undeclared on the product label according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent August 18. The recalled chicken noodle product was mislabeled and actually contains meatballs and pasta.
Those with allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Progresso Organic Chicken Noodle Soup, 14 ounces: “Best by” date of May 26, 2022, with establishment number “EST18826A”
The “best by” date and the establishment number are located on the bottom of the can.
No illnesses have been reported. Customers should return this product to the commissary where it was purchased for a full refund.
