Pinnacle Foods Inc. recalls Armour No Bean Chili due to mislabeling
Pinnacle Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Armour No Bean Chili due to mislabeling, according to a Pinnacle Foods recall notice sent Jan. 22.
The recall was initiated due to low levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG) included in the spice blend not being declared on the label's ingredient statement.
The Defense Commissary Agency carries this product and has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, a public health advisor for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, it is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Armour No Bean Chili, 12/14 oz., UPC: 054100029034 and case code 005410002903.
