Peanut Butter Jelly Time
If you have a peanut butter lover at your house, you're in luck. Peanut butter, as well as most other nut butters are perfectly safe without refrigeration. Avoid "peanut butter burnout" by changing it up now and then with these suggestions:
Option 1: Mix peanut butter and honey. Spread on bread, sprinkle with cooked, crisp, crumbled bacon.
Option 3: Mix peanut butter with nonfat dry milk powder and honey. Spread on both slices of bread, top with thin slices of banana.
Option 3: Mix peanut butter with well drained crushed pineapple, spread on bread then sprinkle generously with shredded carrots.
Option 4: Plain peanut butter (or mixed with honey) spread on bread then sprinkled with sesame, pumpkin, or sunflower seeds.
Option 5: Peanut butter and pickle. Maybe you know this recipe already. If not, rack up some points in the "cool mom" category by introducing it at your house. Spread both slices of bread with peanut butter, top with slices of well drained pickle of your choice. Yum!
