Odwalla Superfood recalled
The Coca-Cola Company is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of Odwalla Superfood products that may be contaminated with foreign matter from an ingredient used in the product, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent July 13.
Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product affected by the recall bears establishment number “EST. 17523A” on the back of the packaging:
- Odwalla Superfood, 15.2 ounce bottle: UPC 000-14054-06405-5 with date/lot codes AUG 3118 AS, SEP 0218 AS and SEP 0318 AS
No other beverages, package types or date codes are affected. Customers should return these products to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
