Marie Callender’s Beef Shepherd’s Pie recalled
Conagra Brands, Inc. is voluntarily recalling over 2700 pounds of its Marie Callender’s frozen Beef Shepherd’s Pie product because they may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically clear, flexible plastic, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent June 16.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Marie Callender’s Beef Shepherd’s Pie, 11.5 ounces: Lot code 5006306020, with a “best by” date of Feb, 24, 2024 and time stamps ranging from 17:45 – 17:56
There have been no confirmed reports of injury related to this recall.
Customers should check their freezer for the product and return it to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
