'Making merry' in December: Shop your commissary for special seasonal savings
FORT LEE, Va. – Need to prepare for the holiday season, but not sure where to start? Make your commissary your first stop for special seasonal savings.
“Whether you’re stationed abroad or celebrating at home with loved ones, commissaries around the world have the ingredients you need to make your holiday season merry and bright,” said Tracie Russ, the Defense Commissary Agency’s director of sales.
Military commissaries are offering discounts beyond everyday savings, including special holiday deals through the end of the year. DeCA encourages customers to check end-of-aisle displays, where stores showcase products with extra-low prices.
The agency also reminds customers to visit its new online customer portal, MyCommissary, to manage their online shopping experience. The portal makes it easy to access your Commissary Rewards Card account, see the current sales flyer and place a CLICK2GO curbside pickup order at participating stores.
All users, including current rewards card users, must create a new account on the site to access its features. Your new MyCommissary account can be linked to your Commissary Rewards Card using your existing rewards card number. Once you link your card to the portal, simply click “My Coupons” and then “Go to My Wallet” to access your digital coupons.
Overseas stores may have substitute events for certain promotional programs. Customers
should check with their store managers to verify when they will be offering the following sales events:
