Lay’s Dip recalled
Frito-Lay is voluntarily recalling a specific size of their French Onion and Smooth Ranch Dip products due to the possibility of spoilage according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent May 5.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall:
- Lay’s French Onion Dip, 15 ounces: UPC 2840007094 with a manufacturing code bearing “2W” in the second and third position, i.e. x2Wxxxxx
- Lay’s Smooth Ranch Dip, 15 ounces: UPC 2840007095 with a manufacturing code bearing “2W” in the second and third position, i.e. x2Wxxxxx
No other Lay’s dips sizes or products are affected by this recall.
