King's Command Foods recalls beef products
King's Command Foods LLC. is voluntarily recalling about 26,000 pounds of ground beef products due to the presence of metal objects found in the items according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent March 10.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall:
- Fully Cooked Meatballs, 28 lb – Case code 72354 and 72355
- Fully Cooked Southern Fried Beef Steak Fritter for Chicken Fried Steak, 15 lb, 96 count – Case code 72559
- Fully Cooked Country Fried Breaded Beef Fingers, 15 lb, 240 count – Case code 72208
- Fully Cooked Southern Fried Beef Steak Fritter, 15 lb, 60 count – Case code 72568
- Fully Cooked Chicken Fried Beef Fritters, 15 lb, 80 count – Case code 72564
- Fully Cooked Southern Fried Beef Steak Fritter for Chicken Fried Steak, 10 lb, 40 count – Case code 72206
- Fully Cooked Southern Style Breaded Beef Steakettes, 10 lb, 64 count – Case code 74917
- B-E-K-O Fully Cooked Country Fried Beef Fingers, 10 lb, 160 count – ase code 72374
The affected products bear establishment number "EST. M1515A" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The company has received no confirmed reports of illness or injury associated with this recall.
