Kayco products recalled due to undeclared allergen
Kayco is recalling their Glicks Dark Chocolate Conettos product because it may contain undeclared milk according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Feb. 25.
Those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk, run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The Glicks Dark Chocolate Conettos were distributed to stores nationwide, predominately located in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut regions, during the weeks of Oct. 13, 2024 through Feb. 14. This recall was initiated after the company was notified by their quality control department that a limited number of bags labeled as “Dark Chocolate Conettos” contained Milk Chocolate Conettos, which contains milk allergen that is not declared on the label.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Glicks Dark Chocolate Conettos 2.47 ounces: UPC code 840762044535, Case UPC 10840762044549, Lot Code 02092024
Only packages bearing the Lot Code below, may potentially have milk Conettos in the “Dark Chocolate Conettos” bag.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund
