Hu Products Vanilla Crunch Dark Chocolate Bar recalled
Hu Products is voluntarily recalling a single production lot of Vanilla Crunch Dark Chocolate Bar product because some packages may potentially contain undeclared hazelnut, cashew, and/or almond that were inadvertently added to the product during manufacturing, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent May 18.
Consumers who are sensitive or have allergies to hazelnut, cashew, and/or almond should not eat this product and should discard any product they may have.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall:
- Vanilla Crunch Dark Chocolate Bar, 2.1 ounces: UPC 850180006206 lot code: L2343C best by date: Dec. 9, 24.
No other HU products are affected by this recall.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
