French's Crispy Jalapeños recalled due to foreign matter
French's Food Company LLC is voluntarily recalling specific French's Crispy Jalapeños due to the presence of metal and stone particles found in the product, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency's food safety office sent March 29.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- French's Crispy Jalapeños, 5 ounces – UPC 41500-95309-00 with a "best by" date of May 25, 2018
Customers who purchased any of these products at the commissary should bring them back for a refund.
