Freedom’s Choice Ranch Dressing recall expanded
The Defense Commissary Agency is expanding their initial voluntary recall of their Freedom’s Choice Ranch Dressing to include additional Ranch sell by date codes and Lite Ranch and Buttermilk varieties, due to swelling of the product creating bloated bottles, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent July 8.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall expansion:
- Freedom’s Choice Ranch Dressing, 16 ounces: UPC: 8-42798-10266 with “sell by” date of Jan. 26, 2022
- Freedom’s Choice Lite Ranch Dressing, 16 ounces: UPC: 8-42798-10268 with “sell by” dates of Jan. 12 and 29, 2022
- Freedom’s Choice Buttermilk Dressing, 16 ounces: UPC: 8-42798-10267 with “sell by” dates of Jan. 12 and 30, 2022
The previous recall issued on July 2 involved the following product:
- Freedom’s Choice Ranch Dressing, 16 ounces: UPC: 8-42798-10266 with “sell by” dates of Jan. 12 and 14, 2022
Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
