Flowers Foods recalls bread, rolls, hamburger and hot dog buns
Flowers Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling hamburger and hot dog buns, bread and rolls because they may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically hard plastic fragments introduced during production, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent July 9.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
