DeCA initiates recall on two Elmhurst Oat Creamers
The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) initiated a recall of two Elmhurst Oat Creamers with UPCs: 1894400082 and 1894400080, due to hemp seeds, according to a DeCA message sent Mar. 14.
DeCA has publicized this recall to all its stores, according to Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA Headquarters and Support Center at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products must be pulled from sale:
- Elmhurst Oat Creamer French Vanilla, 16 fluid ounces: UPC code 1894400082
- Elmhurst Oat Creamer Unsweetened, 16 fluid ounces: UPC code 1894400080
If you find different UPCs or lot codes, apart from the ones highlighted in this withdrawal, please remove them as long as they contain hemp seeds.
Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
