Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Raisin Granola
General Mills is voluntarily recalling specific Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Raisin Granola product due to the presence of almonds, an undeclared nut allergen, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent Oct. 10.
Those with nut allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its affected stores, said Jorge Acevedo, a consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Raisin Granola: UPC code: 000-21908-74329-5 with “best if used by” dates of March 20 & 21, 2018
No other flavors of Cascadian Farm Organic Granola are affected. Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
