Buddy Fruits recalls Tartlets product due to lack of milk allergen communication on package
Buddy Fruits is voluntarily recalling their Tartlets products due to the lack of milk allergen communication on packages. The current Tartlets ingredients list states "butter," a milk-derived ingredient; however, the FDA notified Buddy Fruits that additional milk allergen clarification must be included.
Those with milk allergies run a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Christopher Wicker, a public health advisor for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, it is immediately removed from store shelves.
