Boston Market frozen boneless pork rib dinner recalled
Bellisio Foods is voluntarily recalling over 170,000 pounds of frozen pork entrée products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of glass or hard plastic, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Feb. 23.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The affected product bears the establishment number “EST. 18297” on the end flap of the package:
- Boston Market Home Style Meals Boneless Pork Rib Shaped Patty with BBQ Sauce & Mashed Potatoes, 14 ounces: with “best by” dates of Dec. 7 and lot code 8341; Jan. 4, 2020 and lot code 9004; Jan. 24, 2020 and lot code 9024 or Feb. 15, 2020 and lot code 9046
To date there have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury. Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
