Bob Evans Farms, Inc. recalls pork sausage link products due to extraneous materials
Bob Evans Farms Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 46,734 pounds of pork sausage link products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of clear hard plastic, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Sept. 14.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves
The following products are affected by this recall:

Bob Evans Maple Pork Sausage Links 12 ounces: UPC 7590000230 and 7590000232, Use by dates: Oct. 16 and 19, 2018.

Bob Evans Brown Sugar & Honey 12 ounces: UPC7590000280, Use by date: Oct. 16, 2018.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST 6785.” These items were shipped to retail locations in Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
