Banquet Frozen Chicken Strips Entree recalled
Conagra Brands, Inc. is voluntarily recalling over 245,000 pounds of its frozen chicken strips entrée product because they may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically plastic pieces, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Sept. 3.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product, bearing establishment number “EST. P-9” is affected by this recall:
- Banquet Chicken Strips Meal, 8.9 ounces: Lot numbers 5009317120, 5009319220, or 5009319820 and “best if used by” dates of Dec. 11, 2024, Jan. 1, 2025 or Jan. 7, 2025.
Lot numbers and dates can be found on the side of the carton.
There has been one report of oral injury related to this recall.
Customers should check their freezer for the product and return it to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
