Stubb's BBQ Sauce recalled for bottle defect
Stubb's BBQ is voluntarily recalling one variety of its barbecue sauce due to a glass bottle defect according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Feb. 10.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Stubb's Sticky Sweet BBQ Sauce, 18 ounces – UPC 734756000105 with "best by" date of Jan. 17, 2020
The company has received no complaints of illness or injury associated with this recall and no other Stubb's products are impacted.
Customers who purchased any of these products at the commissary should bring them back for a refund.
