PepsiCo Inc. and Starbucks Issues Voluntary Recall of Specific Lots of Starbucks Products
PepsiCo Inc. of Purchase, NY and Starbucks of Seattle, Washington, known as the North American Coffee Partnership (NACP), initiated a voluntary recall of specific lots of Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso & Cream, Doubleshot Espresso & Cream Light, and Doubleshot Espresso & Salted Caramel Cream because of a potential issue with the sealing of the cans, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Nov. 24.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, chief, public health division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following items are affected by this recall:
• Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso Espresso & Light Cream 6.5 ounce 12 pack: UPC: 012000017551, MFG Date: Aug. 24, 2021, Lot/Expiration: March 28, 2022
• Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso Espresso & Light Cream 6.5 ounce 12 pack: UPC: 012000017551, MFG Date: Aug. 25, 2021, Lot/Expiration: March 28, 2022
• Starbucks Double Espresso Espresso & Salt Caramel Cream 6.5 ounce 12 pack: UPC: 012000162794, MFG Date: Aug. 25, 2021, Lot/Expiration: March 28, 2022
• Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso Espresso & Cream 6.5 ounces 12 pack: UPC: 012000202933, MFG Date: Aug. 25, 26 and 27, 2021, Lot/Expiration: March 28, 2022
• Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso Espresso & Cream 6.5 ounces 4 pack: UPC: 012000104510, MFG Date: Aug. 27 and 28, 2021, Lot/Expiration: March 28, 2022
