Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust withdrawn
General Mills is voluntarily withdrawing specific code dates of their Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust because variations in the production process introduced the potential for an off-flavor, according to a withdrawal notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent May 26. A withdrawn product does not present food safety risks, only quality concerns.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this withdrawal to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this withdrawal:
- Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust, 2 count: UPC 000-18000-28794-9 with date codes of 30JUN2021, 01JUL2021, 02JUL2021 and 03JUL2021
