Bobo’s Maple Pecan Oat Bars recalled
Bobo’s is voluntarily recalling their Maple Pecan Oat Bars because they may contain peanuts, an undeclared allergen, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent March 24.
Those with allergies or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product, sold as a single unit or in a box of 12, is affected by this recall:
- Bobo’s Maple Pecan Oat Bar, 3 ounces: UPC 829262000210 with lot code 0L30112B and “best by” date of July 30-31
No other Bobo’s products with this best by date are impacted by this recall and there have been no reports of illness.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
