Annie Chun’s Teriyaki Noodle Bowl recalled
CJ Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling their Annie Chun’s Teriyaki Noodle Bowl product because it may contain undeclared peanuts, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent Feb. 16. The recall was initiated after the company discovered some packages of their Annie Chun’s Teriyaki Noodle Bowl actually contained their Pad Thai Noodle product potentially exposing customers to undeclared peanuts.
Those with peanut sensitivities or allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Annie Chun’s Japanese-Style Teriyaki Noodle Bowl, 7.8 ounces: UPC 7-65667-10387-6, with lot number 12/25/2020, packaged in opaque white plastic bowl with paper sleeve.
There have been no confirmed reports of illness. Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
