TopCare Mouthwash recalled for mislabeling
Topco Associates, LLC. is voluntarily recalling TopCare Mouthwash because the affected product has an incorrect back label according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent June 12. The recalled product bears a TopCare Antiseptic Mouthwash Original label on the front and an incorrect TopCare Mint Mouthwash label on the back. The enclosed product contains fewer ingredients than the incorrect mint back label states except for caramel coloring.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall. Note the current incorrect back label lists 36800-60065 as the UPC code:
- TopCare Antiseptic Mouthwash Original, 1 liter: UPC 036800600652 with a lot code of 432631 and a “use by” date of March 2021
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
