Bachman Twist Pretzels recalled
Utz Quality Foods, LLC is voluntarily recalling a specific expiration date code of its Bachman Twist Pretzel product because it may contain an undeclared milk allergen, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent Feb. 26. Those with milk allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Bachman Twist Pretzels, 10 ounces: UPC 0-77817-10580-8 with an expiration date of July 22 and code of “9 ED”
The UPC can be found on the back, left side of the bag; the expiration code can be found on the front, upper right corner of the bag. There are no reports of illness to date and no other Bachman products are included in this recall.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
