Thermacare Heatwraps recalled
Pfizer Consumer Healthcare is voluntarily recalling specific Thermacare Muscle Pain Therapy Heatwraps due to the potential risk of a leaking heat cell causing the ingredients to come in direct contact with skin causing skin injuries, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent Oct. 5.
Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall:
- Thermacare Muscle Pain Therapy 8 Hour Heatwrap, 3 count: 0030573301303 with expiration date of July 2020 and Lot Number T26686
- Thermacare Muscle Pain Therapy 8 Hour Heatwrap, 4 count: 0030573301314 with expiration date of July 2020 and Lot Number S68516
The lot numbers can be found on the side of the carton. Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
