Freedom’s Choice Purified bottled water recalled
Effective July 18, the Defense Commissary Agency is voluntarily recalling a specific lot number of Freedom’s Choice Purified bottled water due to the discovery of potential impurities that exceed the manufacturer's standards.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall:
- Freedom’s Choice Purified Bottled Water, 500 ml: UPC 842798-10009 with Lot number STK1070518 and a “best if used by” date of Nov. 5, 2019
Customers are advised to discontinue consumption of the affected water and return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
As always, the health and safety of our service members and their families is our primary concern. Further information will be provided once lab testing is complete. Questions about this recall can be directed to Spartan Nash at 800-451-8500 or via email @ PL.contactus@spartannash.com
