Snak Club Tropical Trail Mix recalled
Century Snacks is voluntarily recalling specific bags of Snak Club Tropical Trail Mix because they may contain undeclared milk, soy, wheat and cashew allergens, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent May 21. Due to a packaging supplier’s error, the Tropical Trail Mix bags may contain Yogurt Trail Mix product.
Those with dairy, soy, wheat or cashew allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this withdrawal to all its stores, said Chris Wicker, a public health advisor for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following product is affected by this recall:
- Snak Club Tropical Trail Mix, 16 ounces: UPC 0-87076-64462-8, with lot code “BEST BY DEC 27 2018 TP3B T” printed on the front of the package
There have been no reported illnesses to date. Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
