Shake ‘N Bake Seasoned Coating Mix recalled
Kraft Heinz Company is voluntarily recalling select code dates of Shake ‘N Bake Ranch & Herb Seasoned Coating Mix products due to mislabeling, according to a recall notice from the Defense Commissary Agency’s food safety office sent Aug. 21. The recalled product, mistakenly labeled with the OK Pareve symbol for non-dairy, non-meat foods should have been certified kosher and dairy using the OK Dairy symbol.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, lead consumer safety officer for DeCA headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this recall:
- Shake ‘N Bake Ranch & Herb Seasoned Coating Mix, 4.75 ounces: UPC 04300005797 with “best when used by” dates of May 14 & 15, 2019; June 16 & 17, 2019 and July 23, 2019
Customers should return this product to their commissary of purchase for a full refund.
