Buddy Fruits recalls Tartlet products due to undeclared allergen
Ouhlala Gourmet LLC is voluntarily recalling their Buddy Fruits Tartlets products due to the lack of milk allergen communication on packages according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent May 23. The current Tartlets ingredients list states "butter," a milk-derived ingredient; however, the FDA notified Buddy Fruits that additional milk allergen clarification must be included. Those with milk allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores. Whenever a commissary has a recalled or withdrawn product in its inventory, it is immediately removed from store shelves.
