Savings, giveaways heat up for commissaries in July
FORT LEE, Va. (June 23, 2016) – July offers commissary customers plenty of savings and giveaways, as the Defense Commissary Agency kicks off the month with its "Fourth of July Holiday Weekend Sale!" and the Healthy Lifestyle Festival.
"School is out, the vacation plans are set, and your commissary is here to help make our patrons' summer even better with savings that extend the value of their benefit," said DeCA's Sales Director Tracie Russ. "Whether for our traditional favorite, the Healthy Lifestyle Festival, or our big July Fourth weekend event, we are working with our industry partners to offer promotions that sizzle like a nice steak on the barbecue.
"Oh, and if you're grilling over the holiday weekend, we can help you with savings on meat, sauces, side dishes and everything else to make that backyard event a big hit."
Russ also reminds patrons to go online to and enter to win trips galore throughout the summer. You will find these opportunities in the Savings Center page and Exclusive Savings page of our web site. Check online for dates and locations for your military installation.
DeCA's industry partners – vendors, suppliers and brokers – are collaborating with commissaries in July to offer discounts beyond everyday savings. Always check what's on the "end of the aisle" for themed items with extra low pricing. Overseas stores may have substitute events for certain promotional programs. Customers should check with their store manager to verify when they will be offering the following sales events:
